When you register, we collect your name, email address, profile photo, and optional native name. Sign-in via Apple or Google provides authentication tokens that we do not store in plain text.
Information you add about individuals in your family trees — including names, dates of birth and death, birthplaces, photos, and notes — is stored on our servers and linked to your account.
Direct messages and group chats are end-to-end encrypted. We do not have access to the content of your private messages. Community board posts are not encrypted and are visible to other members of that community.
You may voluntarily provide an origin city or country for your profile and family. We do not collect your device GPS location without explicit permission.
We collect anonymous usage data such as feature interactions, crash reports, and performance metrics to improve the app. This data does not personally identify you.
We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and support purposes.
We use your data to operate the app, display your family trees, enable messaging, and personalise your experience.
Your email and sign-in credentials are used for authentication, password resets, and account security.
Your profile name, photo, and origin information are shown to other users in families you join, trees you share, and community boards you post on.
Subscription purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment card details.
We may send you push notifications about new messages, family activity, or important service updates. You can manage notification settings in your device preferences.
We use reported content and automated tools to detect and remove content that violates our Community Guidelines.
Your display name, profile photo, and origin are visible to users in families you follow, trees you share, and communities you participate in. You control who sees your tree by managing sharing permissions.
We share data with trusted third-party providers that help us operate our service, including Firebase (Google) for authentication and storage, and Apple for in-app purchases. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of relationpoint, its users, or the public.
If relationpoint is acquired or merges with another entity, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before that occurs.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. Data may be processed in multiple regions to ensure reliability and performance.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted. Sensitive credentials are hashed and never stored in plain text.
Photos you upload to family trees, profiles, and community posts are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage and are accessible only via your authenticated session.
We implement industry-standard security measures including access controls, regular audits, and intrusion monitoring. However, no system is 100% secure — please protect your account credentials.
